I got ArcMap to work well enough to get me through several projects until I researched and found another solution that suited my work environment. My experience was years ago as far as tech specs go. Been strictly using QGIS for about 4-5 years now.Įither bite the bullet and get a Windows machine or prepare for rough seas ahead.Įdit: I guess I don't mean to sound so ominous.
Ummmmm, I ended up going to QGIS and using QGIS Cloud services to publish maps. With 32GB of RAM, still ran into memory errors when running processes. The MacBook had an early version 4k screen that kept bugging out in Windows. I seem to remember having to get the enterprise version of Parallels to get everything to work right. ArcPro may do something different there though. Not sure what license server you're using, or of it's a standalone license, but that was an issue too. I ran Parallels on a 2017 MacBook Pro with ArcMap 10.x.
